Belle Flower Church was recently designated as an historic landmark by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History. Belle Flower served as the meeting and gathering place for the civil rights movement in Grenada, MS, during the 1960s. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., Rev. Andrew Young and Rev. Hosea Williams all spoke from the pulpit at Belle Flower.
