This website, sponsored by the University of Kansas, provides a set of excellent tools for community building, including sections on funding, strategic planning, evaluation, a troubleshooting guide, a “Community Work Station”, etc.
- Emmett Till Memorial Commission
The ETMC of Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, formed in memory of Emmett Till, a 14-year-old youth from Chicago who was killed in 1954 when visiting his family in Mississippi. The group organized around issues of racial reconciliation, historic preservation, and education in their local community.
- MP Associates, Inc.
MP Associates works in partnership with individuals, communities, and organizations to build the capacity to effectively address racism and better understand privilege issues for building a just and inclusive society. The NCBI provides training workshops, institutes, and other resources, including downloadable guides
- Philadelphia Coalition
The Philadelphia Coalition organized around a call for justice in the murders of James Chaney, Andrew Goodman, and Michael Schwerner, and they continue to press for positive change and reconciliation in Neshoba County, Mississippi.

The PHR has an Advocacy Toolkit with guidelines for successful coalition building
- William Winter Institute for Racial Reconciliation
The Winter Institute, based at the University of Mississippi, supports Mississippi communities in addressing racial reconciliation, including coalition building around local issues
